Yen's Garden Tea Leaf Plant - Camellia Plant

The tea leaf plant is a slow-growing evergreen shrub. Its leaves and buds are used to produce black, green, white, and oolong teas. They can be grown outdoors in Zones 7–9 or kept in containers in colder climates.  Harvesting: Only pick the top bud and the two youngest leaves of a stem. Regular harvesting encourages new growth and keeps the plant at a manageable size (about 3–4 feet tall). Care instruction: Requires 4-6 hours sun of direct or partially shaded sunlight Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Fertilizer: every 3 months with 10-10-10 or 12-8-6. Don't add fertilizer when first planting it in the ground or transplanting to the bigger pots.  Soil: well-drained with good potting soil or organic soil.
