How to care for your plants after receiving them

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR PLANTS AFTER RECEIVING THEM

• Do not leave your package outside for an extended period in hot or cold weather, as this can increase environmental stress on your plants.
• Open the box carefully. We do our best to package our plants securely to minimize movement during shipping. However, plants may occasionally shift during transit. Please unpack them slowly to avoid tearing leaves or breaking stems.
• Your plants will need time to adjust to their new environment. To reduce transplant stress, wait at least 48 hours before repotting. During this time, keep the plants out of direct sunlight, isolate them from your other plants, and gradually introduce them to brighter light.
• Acclimate your plant to direct sunlight slowly by increasing its sun exposure over several days.
• It is normal for plants to experience some shipping stress. Yellowing leaves, wilting, or leaf drop may occur, but with proper care, most plants will recover over time.
• Water your plants daily until they are well established.
• If planting in the ground, avoid planting too deeply. Mix high-quality potting soil with your native soil to promote healthy root growth.
• If planting in a pot, make sure the container has adequate drainage.
• For outdoor plants and trees, plant them in their permanent location whenever possible to avoid transplanting them multiple times.
• Important: Do not apply fertilizer immediately after shipping. Wait until your plant has resumed active growth before fertilizing. We recommend applying fertilizer about one month after planting and repeating every three months, or as needed.
