Description
The Catalina avocado is native to Cuba and very popular in South Florida. The fruit is pear-shaped, can weigh up to two pounds, and yields pale green, rich, creamy flesh with a mildly sweet, buttery flavor.
Catalina is a type A avocado and it's a fast growing tree. It's a mid-season, typically harvested from August through October, though they can sometimes hang on trees into November.
