    Description

    The Phoenix mango tree is an elite, premium variety developed in Florida by Gary Zill.  The variety is known for its complex, rich flavor—a hybrid cross that balances sweetness with a pleasant, citrusy bite—the fruit is medium-sized, oval-shaped, and boasts smooth, fiberless, yellow-orange flesh. 

    Phoenix to be an elite flavored mango and one of the best of the newer varieties. Phoenix variety is a managed, medium-sized tree, you can successfully maintain it around 10–15 feet or even keep it in a large container on your patio trees.

    Harvest time: it's late season, from August to late September.

    Care instruction:

    • Full-sun required

    • Water daily when the tree is small. Water every other day for medium tree.

    • Fertilizer: every 3 months with 10-10-10 or 12-8-6. Don't add fertilizer when first planting it in the ground or transplanting to the bigger pots. 

    • Soil: well-drained with good potting soil or organic soil.
