Description
Super Alphonso is not related to Alphonsp from India. Super Alphonso is a Florida-bred cultivar created by Gary Zill. It was developed to produce larger, disease-resistant fruit that thrives in humid climates (like South Florida) where the original Alphonso struggles to grow.
Super Alphonso taste exceptionally sweet and rich, layered with "Indian spice" complexity, citrus, and sweet coconut. Some tasters detect hints of pine or a sweetened grapefruit-soda complexity. The fruit is highly fragrant and aromatic, filling the air when cut.

Water daily when the tree is small. Water every other day for medium tree.

Fertilizer: every 3 months with 10-10-10 or 12-8-6. Don't add fertilizer when first planting it in the ground or transplanting to the bigger pots.
