Description
Moringa Trees, which are also known as 'Ben Oil Trees', are cultivated all over the world and are highly valued for their edible parts that are extremely high in nutrients and minerals.
Moringa leaves, pods and seeds have more vitamin C than four oranges combined as well as high amounts of calcium, potassium, iron, zinc and more. They're also high in antioxidants, which is great for your overall health.
Moringa tree requires full-sun, well-draining soil and infrequent deep watering. These fast-growing subtropical trees thrive in warm weather and easily suffer if their roots stay too wet.
The tree need at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight every day. Regularly trim long branches back by half or more to keep the tree short, bushy, and full of accessible leaves.
Moringa (Moringa oleifera) grows best as a permanent perennial tree in USDA Zoner 9-11. In colder regions, it can still be grown successfully as a seasonal die-back plant, a fast annual, or a potted container plant.
