Description
Another choice for who wants to enjoy the mango that can give you two options to eat it green and ripe - Pim Seng Mun is a highly prized Thai variety.
-
Green/Mature Stage: Crisp, crunchy, and pleasantly tart with an apple-like flavor. It is traditionally enjoyed sliced and dipped in salt and cayenne pepper. [1]
- Ripe Stage: The flesh turns deep yellow, becoming sweet, juicy, fiberless, and fragrant with a floral, honey-like flavor. The texture becomes incredibly smooth, almost like a "sweet stick of butter"
It's an early-season mango. Harvest time is from May to July.
